Theme: "Imagine, all the education..." The visual in the making of the educational space through history

Historians of education are increasingly realizing that the image culture has played more than a marginal role in the development of the educational space.

ISCHE XX intends to investigate how various media (like drawings, architecture, didactic plates, book illustrations, photos, films, comics,

p.c., television ...) have contributed to education and/or have depicted education in the course of history, from Antiquity to the contemporary period.

Deadline proposals: 15 January 1998
