This study programme is internationally acknowledged and recognized, successful participants will be given 12 ECTS.

Objective:
- to provide students with a broad understanding of the political, economic, social, and cultural development of Europe after 1990
- to analyze the current challenges and risks to the development of Europe

Method: the course is interdisciplinary and combines multiple learning methods, such as lectures, workshops, round-table discussions, group-work and student presentations

Extras: numerous cultural, sport, and social activities which enhance the academic programme

Price: 950 EUR (approx. 1.270 USD)
Included in price:
- Tuition (all lectures, workshops, discussions etc. as mentioned on our website)
- Cultural and social events (as mentioned on our website)
- Reading materials (an on-line version will be at your disposal after enrolling)
- Housing at the Hall of Residence
- 2 meals per day (breakfast and lunch)

- 14:00 – 16:00 Workshop: Central-European development after 1990: Dealing with the past, facing new challenges
- Evening: Prague river cruise

Day 4 – Tuesday, September 11, 2012
Topic: Political development after 1990
- 09:00 – 12:00 Lecture: Continuities and discontinuities of European development after 1989: reality and prospects
- 12:00 – 14:00 Lunch Break
- 14:00 – 16:00 Workshop: Political parties in Europe after 1990
- 16:00 – 17:00 Tutorial: Preparation for group presentations
- Evening: Walk through the Prague Castle compound (guided tour)
