"Quaderni storici", one of the most authoritative arenas of historical research at an international level, deals with an extensive time frame ranging from ancient to contemporary history. The journal focuses on a wide array of topics, including social history, economic history, gender history, and "micro-history". Renowned Italian and foreign scholars (such as Alberto Caracciolo, Maurice Aymard, Carlo Ginzburg, Peter Burke, Carlo Poni, Pasquale Villani, Christiane Klapisch, and Gianna Pomata) regularly contribute to the journal. Each issue comprises a monographic section addressing specific topics, such as: scholarship and sources, history and music, markets, client-patron relationships, estate management and women's rights, Jews on trial, political languages.
