"Corporate Images – Images of the Corporation"

For the first time, the European Business History Conference will take place in Germany. Even the location in itself will be interesting for business historians. The conference will take place in the former administrative building of the IG-Farbenindustrie, which was designed by Hans Poelzig in 1929 and that now accommodates the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-University.

Under the heading „Corporate Images – Images of the Corporation“ we will approach its main facets: public relations of enterprises, marketing, advertising and corporate culture. The internal communication processes of companies also might be studied. Another aspect of the images of corporations are the pictures that business historians themselves draw of certain enterprises or sectors. And last but not least those images are important which represent enterprises in the public: colours of products, design styles and, of course, their central residences.
