Site 2: University of Gdansk and European Solidarity Centre in Gdansk (5 days)
Transfer from Stockholm to Gdansk is planned by a ferry.

Thursday, 22.06. - Day 2:
Concepts of Cultural Memory - Lecture and workshop with Hans Ruin – Rethinking “memory” of artefacts
After Lunch – field trip and visit at Skansen (downtown Stockholm)
Friday 23.06. - Day 3:
Writing of Cultural Memory - Lecture, seminar and group work with Irina Sandomirskaja - Problems of writing memory
Lecture and group work with Marcia Sá Cavalcante Schuback – Afterness
Saturday 24.06. - Day 4:
Memory of Borderlands - Cultural Memory and Borderlands lecture and workshop with Alexander Drost
Sunday 25.06. - Day 5:
The Baltic Sea Region as a historical region - Seminar and with Marta Grzechnik - Baltic Sea Region History Writing
Afternoon - Transfer to Gdansk by a ferry from Nynäshamn
Floating seminar - Baltic Sea Region as a moat, bridge or connecting link – group work with Marta Grzechnik and Alexander Drost
Monday 26.06. - Day 6:
Studying Identities - Workshop and group work on Reading (with) Lacan: Psychoanalysis, Culture and Politics by Yannis Stavrakakis
Tuesday 27.06. - Day 7:
Critical Development Narratives – East and West - Lecture on Ideology of Eastness by Tomasz Zarycki, followed by a workshop/
group work on Self-colonisation of CEE and BSR (with Jan Sowa)
Wednesday 28.06. Day 8:
Cultural memory of East and West in politics - Solidarity as a phenomenon of the East and hope of the West – guided tour and learning in action in the European Solidarity Centre with Grzegorz Piotrowski
Afternoon – trip to the Nazi Concentration Camp in Stutthof
Thursday 29.06. Day 9:
Memory of East and West in architecture and urban planning - Museum visit - Reconstruction of the City in Gdansk after WWII lecture and city tour with Jacek Domińczak
Seminar with Ilya Dementev on dealing with cultural memory in Kaliningrad.
Friday 30.06. Day 10:
Identity of places and spaces as a shared European condition - Lecture Pedagogy of place by Maria Mendel
