After Fascism:
Re-Democratization of Western European Society and Political Culture since 1945

The Bruno Kreisky Archive Foundation is soliciting conference papers that treat various aspects of the reconstruction and reproduction of democratic social and political systems in the wake of National Socialism and indigenous fascist movements in Western Europe. The organizers welcome papers from political scientists, historical anthropologists, historical sociologists, and social or political historians. Papers should address developments in Germany (DDR, BRD, pre- and post-unification), Austria, Italy, France, Holland, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, and Spain. The working language of the conference will be English. The conveners plan to publish a volume of selected and revised contributions after the conference.
Prospective participants are asked to submit an English version of (1) a 500 word (max.) abstract and (2) a curriculum vitae of no more than three pages by 31 January 2004 to one of the following conference organizers:
