In the Historical / Archival community microform is a widely used data storage medium. Nowadays digital storage is an attractive alternative. It can be used supplementary and complementary with microform techniques. Systems and methods are available to digitize microform very efficiently and with high quality. On May 12th, just before he IMC at Duesseldorf (Germany) (http://www.iimc.org), the Netherlands Historical Data Archive (NHDA) will organise a seminar to inform the archivist, researcher and librarian on the possibilities to digitize several types of microform, resulting in high quality images.
For more information on the program of the seminar and a registration form, see: http://www.leidenuniv.nl/nhda/seminar.html
