The Director of the Institute of History of the CAS, v. v. i. announces a vacancy for the position of postdoctoral researcher for the ExpertTurn team, a research project “Expertise in authoritarian societies. Human sciences in the socialist countries of East-Central Europe” (principal investigator Kateřina Lišková, supported by EXPRO of the Czech Science Foundation), more information on the project on request at subrova@hiu.cas.cz.

Job description: research on human science expertise during state socialism in Czechoslovakia, data analysis, discussing findings within the team, writing papers for peer-reviewed journals, presenting research at international conferences, and disseminating the results to the general public.

The minimum job requirements: Ph.D. in social sciences or humanities, research proximity to the topic of the project, knowledge of Czech or Slovak at C1/C2 level, English at C1 level, and relevant publication activity.
