The international Master of Arts in European Studies: Transnational and Global Perspectives (MAES) is a one-year interdisciplinary programme that focuses on Europe as a continent of strong interactions across national boundaries and
constant exchanges with the outside world.
We welcome ambitious and talented students from all over the world and various disciplinary backgrounds.
The programme consists of a compulsory part, four interdisciplinary modules, a limited number of electives and a thesis written under the supervision of one of the professors teaching in the programme. Students choose one of the following modules:
I. Transnational Perspectives on European History, Diversity and Culture
II. EU External Relations
III. Globalising Europe
IV. Europe-Asia: Interactions and Comparisons
Within each module students follow courses from various disciplines.
