The Department of Politics, International Relations and European Studies (PIRES) at Loughborough University invites applications for PhD study in any area of History (with a particular interest in German History), Politics, International Relations and European Studies. The Department has a minimum of two scholarships to award to full-time students wishing to register from 1 October 2009, with an application deadline of 15 April 2009. Applicants should take the form of a research proposal and CV. PIRES has an enviable PhD completion rate and equips all its PhD with computing and office facilities within a friendly and supportive environment.
