The Strassler Family Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Clark University invites applications to its five year doctoral program. Applications from any country are welcome.
The Strassler Family Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies is a forum for education and scholarship about the Holocaust, the Armenian Genocide, and other genocides around the world. Dedicated to teaching, research, and public service, the Center trains the Holocaust historians and genocide studies scholars of the future--the next cadre of professors, teachers, Holocaust museum directors and curators, and non-governmental organization and government agency experts-about genocide and genocidal situations.
Graduate students are required to take a total of twelve courses during their first two years at the Center and to demonstrate competency in two languages (other than English) relevant to their research agenda. The following three years are dedicated above all to dissertation research
and writing.
The financial package offered by the Center includes full tuition,
a fellowship package ranging from $12,500 to $14,000 per year, and a yearly research bursary of $4,000.
Potential applicants can learn more about the program by visiting the web at http://www.clarku.edu/departments/holocaust/. If human contact is preferred, Dr. Tatyana Macaulay, Program Manager, or any of our professors would be happy to speak to interested students directly.
