Lecturer in English for Academic/Specific Purposes
(Salary group BAT IIa)

The Centre for Applied Linguistics (FSZ) is currently seeking a Lecturer in English for Academic/Specific Purposes. The successful candidate is expected to take up the post in September 2005.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified modern languages or linguistics scholars with relevant knowledge mainly in the field of engineering. Applications are also welcome from candidates with a university degree in engineering and relevant knowledge of (applied) linguistics.

You are expected to have experience in teaching English as a foreign language, reasonable knowledge of German and be a native-level English speaker. You are able to work as part of a team in an international environment and willing to participate in work-related research projects at the FSZ.

Applications from candidates with a Ph.D. and experience in the use of information technology in teaching are particularly welcome.
