PostDoc in Iranian Studies (m/f/d)
from October 15th, 2019 to July 31st, 2020 (9.5 months)
Your duties:
- Research and teaching (BA and MA levels) in Iranian studies
- Participation in the extension of the Institute’s library
- Mentoring of students
Your profile:
- Graduation from University an completed doctoral degree in Iranian Studies or a contiguous field with a thesis on a topic relating to Iran between its Islamisation and today
- Excellent research and publication record
- A specialisation in history or literary studies is an advantage
- A thorough knowledge of the methodology in the field of specialisation enabling the candidate to co-operate with academics at LMU
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of German is an advantage, but no requirement
- Fluency in modern Persian
- Creativity, passion about academic work, reliability
