The Leo Baeck Institute Year Book is looking for an experienced
editor to copy edit articles submitted to the Leo Baeck Institute
Year Book.
We are looking for someone who is able to work to occasional tight deadlines (as articles are submitted throughout the year), and can liaise closely and diplomatically with authors and the editorial team. The Year Book’s copy editors have a broad remit, including fact-checking where necessary, and focus on all aspects of an article’s language, style and structure.
Language skills required:
English at native speaker level
Fluent German
Knowledge of Hebrew an advantage.
Qualifications: An academic degree at BA level or higher in the Humanities would be desirable
The successful applicant will edit on average between 3 and 6 articles
per year (average length of an article is 8,000 words).
Payment: £1,000 per article.
