The SNSF-research project « Contested Amnesia and Dissonant Narratives in the Global South. The cultural analysis does not only emphasize the aesthetic interventions of contemporary writers and artists, but also the emergent initiatives of cultural institutions with regard to transitional justice and reconciliation, commemorative practices and the writing of history.

The work location will be the Romanisches Seminar at the Universität Zürich (www.rose.uzh.ch). The candidate is expected to conduct archival research in Beirut (Lebanon).
