The Center for the History of Emotions, led by Prof. Dr. Ute Frevert,
has a vacant position for a student research assistant for 40 hours per month to support the research project “Passions at Bar: Crimes and Emotions in Italian Penal Law in the 19th and 20th Centuries” of Dr. Gian Marco Vidor.

Starting date: 1 January 2015

Responsibilities:
- Bibliographical research in English and Italian primary and secondary sources
- Independent excerption of primary and secondary sources
- Sourcing of literature
- Text editing

Requirements:
- At least two study semesters in history or related field of study (enrolment at a Berlin
or Land Brandenburg university necessary)
- An excellent command of the English language
- High personal motivation, ability to work independently and attention to detail; ability
to meet deadlines and to make progress without direct supervision
- Knowledge of Italian necessary (good reading skills)
