1 Archive Researcher "International Tracing Service Archive" (Wiener Library, London)

The Wiener Library, Britain’s largest archive on the Holocaust and Nazi era, is receiving the UK’s digital copy of the International Tracing Service Archive. This unique archive contains over 100 million pages of Holocaust-era documents relating to the fates of over 17.5 million people who were subject to incarceration, forced labour and displacement during and after World War II.

The Library is now looking to recruit a full-time researcher to work on the archive – managing and responding to enquiries from a wide range of audiences.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The priority task is to manage, maintain and respond to enquiries relating to the International Tracing Service Archive which will be held in digital format at the Library. Tasks will include:
- Processing humanitarian and academic research enquiries relating to the International Tracing Service Archive from academics, survivors, refugees and their families, the media, educators and others.
- Undertaking research using the digital copy of the ITS Archive.
- Contributing to introductory courses, skills-based workshops and other programming at the Library.
- Developing and maintaining partnerships and contacts with other archival repositories and research institutions where appropriate and relevant

The salary will be £28,500.
