The candidates appointed to the respective annual theme will engage in teaching and re-search on multiple aspects of urban cultures and public spaces regarding the education of urban professionals. Each candidate is expected to promote a trans- and multidisciplinary approach in urban studies as a starting point for research positioned between the fields of expert knowledge, everyday knowledge, practical knowledge and local knowledge, aiming at the comprehensive understanding of urban cultures and city publics in European cities, and beyond.
